You’ll probably figure it out in about 10 episodes, but that “dragon egg” isn’t a real one. Hatchable eggs (owl, dragon, Axolotl) don’t have the “place item” option like you did with that egg. At the start of the dragon quest chain you picked up a “dragon egg” from the hidden oasis near Mina that turned out to be a fake the miners planted as a prank.

You can either use the octopus for a fish pond (they give out Omni geodes) or gift as a loved gift to Willy. Yep, only catching from their natural habitat counts. When fish ponds came out in 1.4?, I was hoping fishing out of a fish pond would work but nada. I usually gift Maru strawberries. She actually is one of the easiest to gift with her having 12 loved gifts. She’s also one of the earliest to be able to be gifted loved gifts since she loves strawberries and cauliflower. Rather than a battery you can toss gold bars at her. Easier to get gold bars than batteries. XD

Hi there, if you find yourself stuck or can't deduce how something works feel free to ask. I currently in the winter section (snow,snow,snow all around) there is lots to do and find, exploring is a major part of this game. Later...

So ignoring the upcoming 1.2 July patch, the game is paced to take about five or six seasons for everything currently in-game to unlock as there is a farm animal that only appear starting year 2 and I think a lot of people don't get to the latter half of the mines/puzzles to unlock horses and the other companion type pet (wolf cub, mammoth, bunny, toothy baby kitties) you can find exclusively in the mine (no spoilers, though it's not my favorite so I've only ever personally captured/tamed them for completing the animal tab in a play through). If you want to get all the rare animal color variants it takes 2 full in game years counting the new farm animal because certain color/coat patterns only appear in certain seasons. As an example you want all the ostrich colors you've got the base six variants (green, black, white, so on) then depending on season (summer/winter or spring/autumn) if you've captured a base number plus enough color variants then a couple of really beautiful variants that are unique to each species of farm animal will show up. After that there's a ninth version that's just the bragging rights one so flashy and sadly the same color for all species. The rarer variants always start with better base stats so it makes the breeding for max stats a lot easier and the farm can be a beautiful chaotic mess of color for people that want that level of completion. It's a lovely side perk for that level of commitment to barn animals. The companion animals (wolf, mammoth, cat, bunny and I don't know if you ever found them fifth) are just five base colors so no stalking the forest for special wolf cub pumpkin spice latte variant on Autumn 20th of something. You can run out of space and need to start really planning out the farm/jungle plot depending on how much you want to complete achievements or just do in game. I did one run where I got all the steam achievements so I had the little northern land plot nothing but trees and then divided the giant left hand one into the ranching/breeding half and the farming/processing half with the jungle for out of season crops that I was trying to max out on knowledge. Once everything is unlocked and upgraded (max barns are love) then it's easier to do the marriage/fishing/villager stuff. That would be when I tap out though as yet again, with current version children just kind of existing I find that part very boring. To be fair it's my least favorite part in all farming games (getting married and having two kids were the last two Stardew achievements I personally went after). I know you're winding down on this series and just like with Sun Haven, I want to thank you for taking the time to play through to your end point (you're right, western developed farming games rarely have a hard stopping point). It's delightful to see other people play some of my faves which can be really hard to find on youtube and I find these types of videos very relaxing and pleasant (they were and continue to be a real comfort during the lockdown and after effects of 2020 part 20 or whatever present year we're on) to have on in the background. So thank you again.

I've been playing for more than 20 in-game days, found at least 6 of those drones (and yes, talked to/check the logs on them) and she still ignores me?! somebody done lied on the google-wiki page, saying she gives it to ya after 'talking to/checking out' 4 drones.....

If you haven’t gotten all 5 oysters yet, you might consider moving your crab pots to the ocean where you can catch oysters with crab pots. Thanks for the episode!

Hello Hodge, thank you for the chill video again. I love Sping too. The winter environment is depressing and darker. Hoever it gives time to work in the mines and the ocean to prepare more supplies for Spring too. I just noticed that you clicked the bells on both Barn and Coop twice which resulted in calling the animals outside first but due to the double click you called them back inside before even they had a chance to leave. And one more thing, the chest next to the furnace has 2 Earth Gems (each worth 100 points for enchanting) and they were gifted by the giants to you. You may use them when you want to enchanted a tool or upgrade a selected enchat, such as "extra drop" or "rare drop" since they start as 100 but go 200, 300, 400 per upgrade. Bests o/

I thought the weird ore could sometimes be in treasure chests in the mines, I might be wrong.

I believe you need 4 shards to activate the lower levels.. have fun with that. Also if you want to make the mushroom lamps I think you need some of the glowing mushrooms ... they are outside lamps btw.. and you left your witch hat in the mining chest. :)

you need 4 ruby shards and a mine pass it takes you to the other level of the deep mine where you get the emeralds and the berkonium ore your loking for

Hi, I know my message is late but I was losing my mind trying to find the frozen peaks entrance looking everywhere so I started re-watching all till this video showed a place behind the first house you need a tool box for. Finally, I got there, thanks. Also I had a thought that you should go back to the game to try the space ship behind your house to see if they take you to Mars where I bet Grampa actually is with maybe him saying that he finally made it there... And record it and add the video to the end of this play list. I've watched your vids a lot and you have a calming voice that helped me be brave fighting monsters because I don't do it normally so your talking nonchalantly just kept me steady as I tackled them. BTW I died less than you so far, lolol. But it's all thanks to you...

It's taken me a long time to catch up, but I wanted to leave a comment that I have been really enjoying your playthrough of this game, thank you for bringing a bit of joy and calm to my day! I don't have as much time anymore to play games, so it's nice to watch these videos. I haven't played Stardew since the initial release, there is so much more to the game now! I love how much you do of the game, thanks for not rushing the experience! 💜

Ahh, another chill and relaxing game play. I do feel the same about Ben, he is irritating :D I also never won the "dont drop balloon" mini game and never won 10K, such a scam ahaha. I loled so hard when you said "Ok I am just gonna accept the insult" from Bree. So much fun. For the wardrop, if you select "change wardrop" it opens what you currently wear and also the cabinet so you can drop items that you are wearing. If you select "wardrop storage" then it opens your backpack and the cabinet, so you can drop items from your backpack into the cabinet. Meanwhile there are 4 options of clothing page for you, and you may name them too. You are currently at the 1st option (with the name tag of OUTFIT) where your working outfit is placed + the beenie. There is an arrow on both sides so you may prepare 4 different set of clothing for you to be actively worn. You will see "human" and "merfolk" section below the outfit but I am not spoiling further ofc ^_^. You may change the name of the first option to anything you want such as "Spring" and leave the working outfit in the cabinet(storage) while wearing a new set of clothing that you might prefer to wear during Spring. For the other options, you are free to use them all and swap between whenever you want :D When you put off the working outfit, you will be able to see your shoes if you wear them. The working outfit blocks the shoes. Another question you highlighted was about the insect traps. Traps work overnight. So if you do not place a scent into the trap, it "might" randomly catch an insect. If you locate scent by interacting, I believe it is guaranteed that you catch sth ^_^

The smoked fish sell for even more when you reach level 10 farming and choose Artisan. But for the best sell price for smoked fish, for fishing level 5 choose fisher (fish worth 25% more) and then at level 10 choose Angler (fish worth 50% more) in addition to farming’s Artisan. Plain chub: 50g ~ Smoked Plain chub : 100g ~ smoked chub with Angler : 150g ~ smoked chub with Angler and Artisan: 210g. Demetrius mentioned that Robin loved Woody’s Secret which is a power book. It’s the brown one with an axe on it.

The jungle planting spots are the equivalent to the greenhouse in Stardew. Also, the big tree offers special items like the cart lady, only they are all new things.

Another exciting video! I totally agree with you on the last discussion about how the play style would change when you start a new character ^^ I have 3 characters. 1st one is in the 3rd year Spring. I learned most of the game during that playthrough. I started a second character with a better pace this time and parked at Year 2 Spring. I focused more on cooking this time. I am still missing 3 insects and titan arum black honey from summer/fall for the museum and the temple. I changed the decorations of the farm and house. THEN, I challenged myself and started a 3rd one. I completed full Museum and full Temple at the end of the 1st year :D Amazing experience. The order of progression was entirely different than previous characters and my farm layout has been revised again. A brief reminder btw, you may give 2 gifts to a person if that day is their birthday. Their ID chart shows -1/2 if they received nothing from you that week. Once they receive 2 on their birthday and 1 on another day it becomes 3/2.
